EXP LEARNING LAB (EXP-LL)



EXP-LL is an internal startup of the Open Door Arts-In-Education Project (ODAEP), a contracted vendor with the New York City Department of Education. ODAEP launched EXP-LL to specialize in the development of new software solutions and instructional technology tools that can address the significant learning loss and disruptions to social emotional learning students widely experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Experience Learning Lab (EXP-LL) provides an innovative instructional technology suite for teachers to better manage their classrooms and monitor student performance. EXP-LL accomplishes this goal by providing real-time analytics pertaining to individual student performance which can be analyzed over time to offer adaptive lesson plans and served content for differentiated instruction.

HelloStudentTM is a revolutionary app designed to support the social and emotional wellness (SEW) of students aged 11-17 both during and after school hours. Engaging students through gamified questions, Hello Student encourages adolescents to express their emotions and social experiences, earning points for each micro-survey/ SEW query they answer.


Students also earn points for meeting or exceeding academic benchmarks such as maintaining punctuality and strong attendance.

The Open Door Arts-in-Education Project Yearbook App (ODAEP-YRBK) is designed for school teachers, administrators, and parents to capture and share important moments that celebrate student achievement.

ODAEP Urban Block Party Experience App


ODAEP's Urban Block Party App helps students relive the important messages, performances, and music experienced during the live school performances that are a part of the longest running anti-bullying movement in NYC.


Designed to combat the crisis of bullying and teen violence through edutainment, UBP concerts feature rising local artists such as DJ Relly Rell (Hot 97.1, 106 & Park), Lucky Banks, Cashflow Harlem, Lea Robinson and Von Middleton who’ve become instant fan favorites with youth audiences. Embracing the call to be positive role models, each artist not only shares talent but their experiences with bullying while reinforcing a message of tolerance and respect among students.


To date, UBP has been experienced by more than 10,000 DOE students across 50+ public schools across the (5) boroughs.
